Sunday, October 1 Match at Acrisure Arena Marks First NHL Game to Take Place in Greater Palm Springs

On the heels of the National Hockey League (NHL) announcing the complete Anaheim Ducks 2023-24 regular-season schedule presented by UCI Health, The Ducks will face off against Arizona Coyotes on Sunday, October 1 at Acrisure Arena, Southern California’s newest 11,000-capacity world-class venue in Greater Palm Springs. The match marks the first NHL game to take place in Palm Springs. The puck will drop at 3:00 p.m. This will be the first event at Acrisure Arena featuring teams from the top professional leagues.

The Ducks will begin the regular season with consecutive games starting on the road Saturday, Oct. 14 vs. the reigning Stanley Cup champion, Vegas Golden Knights, followed by its home opener Sunday, Oct. 15 vs. the Carolina Hurricanes. The season-opening back-to-back marks the 10th time in franchise history Anaheim will begin a season with consecutive games (three international, seven in North America), the last instance occurring in 2011-12 as part of the NHL Premiere Helsinki and Stockholm.
